Today I ponder on the thoughts "Can Creative Thinking be taught?"  "Can you learn to think creatively if you didn't learn as a child?"  "What can online teachers do to stimulate creativity in adult learners?"  Then I started thinking about the quintessence of the topic, "Why is Creative Thinking important in the learning environment and especially in the online learning environment?"

According to Bandura, “Creativity constitutes one of the highest forms of human expression. Innovativeness largely involves restructuring and synthesizing knowledge into new ways of thinking and of doing things...But above all, innovativeness requires an unshakeable sense of efficacy to
persist in creative endeavors.” (Bandura, 1997, p. 239)

I read the great online article "Inspiring a Generation to Create: Critical Components of Creativity in Children" from Center for Childhood Creativity and was inspired to consider that the same activities listed in their research to promote creativity in children will also work for adults!!   What do you think?
